Cardiovascular Research
The vision of Catholic Healthcare West's Cardiovascular Research Center is to develop a cardiovascular research program driven toward patients who require additional treatment beyond the normal standard of care. We will achieve this by developing programs for growing new blood vessels (angiogenesis), cardiac regeneration (myogenesis), the collection of DNA for genetic analysis and the development of personalized medicine, monitoring of progression/regression of coronary artery disease (atherosclerosis), and less invasive treatment of structural heart disease.
Providing new hope for patients in need
The Cardiovascular Research Center is home to several clinical trials and research studies that may help those who had no hope for healing to actually improve their health. Led by Nabil Dib, M.D., M.Sc., F.A.C.C., director of Cardiovascular research, the team of researchers is involved in the development of several research programs.
