The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) specializes in cardiovascular surgeries, primarily coronary artery bypass, or open heart, surgery. The CVICU cares for patients who have cardiovascular medical and emotional needs in a warm, supportive environment. Our nurses are specially trained and are part of a multidisciplinary team designed to meet the needs of our patients and their families.
Visiting hours for the CVICU are from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The unit is closed from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., for patient care and multidisciplinary rounds. We suggest only two visitors at a time in the room. Limitations may exist for children under the age of 14. We suggest you check with your loved one's nurse for special considerations.
